Claude, L.
McAloney, 88 years of age, of River Hebert, passed away
peacefully on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at the Cumberland Regional
Health Care Centre.
Born in Strathcona, he was a son of the
late Elwin & Cora (Snell) McAloney.
In his early years Claude loved the
outdoors, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Claude was a religious man
who enjoyed visiting with people. Claude taught Sunday
school in the River Hebert area. He was a member of the River Hebert
Gospel Hall, and in later years the Amherst Gospel
Hall.
Claude will be sadly missed by his wife
of 65 years, Mildred; sons Doug (Luanne) of River Hebert,
Terry (Joyce) of Joggins; grandchildren, Nicole, Adam, Allan, Denice,
Miranda; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, Claude he was
predeceased by , sisters, Muriel Kralick, Doris Landry, Gracie
Dean.
Arrangements are under the direction of
Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church
St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) where the family will receive visitors
on Monday, March 18, 2019 from 2 – 4 pm. A funeral service
will be held at the Jones Family Funeral Centre on Tuesday, March 19,
2019 at 2 pm.
Burial will take place in the River
Hebert Latta Cemetery later in the spring.
Should friends desire, memorial
contributions may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association or the
Heart and Stroke Foundation.
