1950-2019
Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown
surrounded by his loving family the passing of Albert Sterling Martin
of Valleyfield, age 68, devoted husband of 44 years to Hilda
(Tesselaar) Martin, occurred on Sunday, March 17, 2019. Born in
Montague, May 14th 1950, he was the son of the late Angus and Alice
(Chowen) Martin, son-in-law to Annie Tesselaar and the late Bill
Tesselaar. Albert was a heavy equipment operator/mechanic at Kings
County Construction for over 40 years. Albert is survived by his
girls, Sherry (Derek) King, Diana Jones (Sidney Collicutt) and Kristi
(Mark) MacDonald. Brothers and sisters; Mary Martin, Willard (Linda),
Clara (Elmer) VanDerAa, Howard (Lorraine), Donnie (Georgina Gregory),
Allison (Peggy Kett) and Doug (Holly) Grandchildren, Nigel, Michaela,
Kyle, Nathan, Sam, Julian, Marcus, Lucas, Paige and great-grandson
Max. Lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased
by brother-in-law Lloyd Burrows and nephew Darren
Martin.
Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting
on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, from 6 to 9 pm. Funeral Service to be
held on Thursday, March 21, at 2:00pm, from the Hillcrest United
Church. Interment to take place in the Valleyfield Cemetery in the
Spring. Donations to the Hillcrest United Defibrillator Fund would be
appreciated by the family.
