Passed away peacefully on February 25, 2019, at the Stratford General Hospital with his daughters Angeline and Carrie at his side.
Predeceased by his special friend Donna Power and leaves behind his special friend Rosemary Hare. Survived by his children Angeline Hare (Mike), Carrie Crerar and Corey Hare. Grandfather of Bridget, Travis (deceased), Shelby, Shayne, Alex Jr., Tony, Natalya, Jonah, Victor, Xenya and great grandchildren Hunter and Kaiden. Son of Bruce and Martha Hare, both deceased. Brother to Donna (deceased), David (deceased), Harley (Shirley), Susan (Wayne), Peter (deceased) and Christine (deceased). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
Murray worked at Cooper Standard Automotive for 34 years. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. A loving and kind family man. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
An informal gathering in Murray’s honour will take place at the Stratford Legion, Branch 8, at 804 Ontario Street, Stratford, on Sunday, March 3, 2019 from 2-5 p.m. All are welcome. As per Murray’s wishes, there shall be no formal service. Donations in his memory may be made to the Stratford General Hospital Foundation directly, at www.sghfoundation.org (please specify your donation be directed to the Stroke Unit), or to the Royal Canadian Legion, Stratford, (Branch No. 8) through Rutherford Cremation and Funeral Services. 519-271-5062.
