After a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s our beloved Mary passed away on Wednesday February 14, 2019 in her 93rd year with her family by her side. Predeceased by her devoted husband John, brothers John, Steve (twin), George, Michael and niece Karen Cimba-Zabel. Left to mourn are loving daughter Helen (David), adored Babi of Steven and James, special Grandma to Grace Helen of Burnaby B.C., sisters-in-law Mary Cimba and Donna Shuhet of N.Y. and many family and friends. Mary’s devotion to her faith, family and Slovak cooking will be missed immeasurably. She enriched the lives of all who knew her. Special thanks to the staff at Extendicare Dundurn for all their compassion shown over the years.
Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home – “William J. Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Tuesday from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm with Panachyda at 7:30 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Resurrection, 821 Upper Wentworth Street, Hamilton on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 11:00 am. followed by burial at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Burlington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, Alzheimer’s Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated and the best way to honour her memory.
