La célébration de
Marguerite Jewel Cole (nee Johnson)
19 octobre 1933 –
5 février 2019
Marguerite Jewel Cole (nee Johnson), age 85, of Toronto, ON passed on February 5th.
The daughter of the late Carl S. Johnson and Gladys F. Johnson (nee Hood) of Lansdowne, PA. A graduate of Lansdowne, PA. High School, she attended Westminster College, New Wilmington, PA for two years (where she majored in Chemistry). It was there she met her best friend and future husband of 65 years, James R. Cole.
She was blessed with three wonderful daughters – Karen Kerr (predeceased), Barbara Kowbuz, and Valerie Cole. And will be greatly missed by her grandchildren – Trevor, Amanda, Tracy, Amy and Shelby and her great grandchildren – Max, Nate, Ella, Cole and Ben.
She loved her home and friends in Florida, the beach, and a warm cup of coffee. She enjoyed bridge, sweets and the simple things. She was intensely loyal to her friends, her pets and enjoyed riding her bike. She took up tennis with a passion in her 70s and made the best sandwiches ever.
Her kindness was admirable, and she was delighted to receive her 10 year volunteer service award from Trillium Hospital. She was also a proud recipient of multiple million dollar sales awards while working for the Shipp Corporation.
Above all, her greatest joy was her family, who are comforted that she has found peace and relief from Alzheimer’s.
“The world is like a mirror, reflecting what you do and if your face is smiling, it smiles right back at you.”
In memory of Marguerite, a private celebration of life will follow.
