Polgar, Steven John: 1936-2019
With his family by his side, Steve in his 83rd year passed away, January 18, 2019.
He was a loving husband of Mary (nee Camilleri) for over 54 years and a devoted father to his three sons, Steve (Cathy), Mike (Denise) and Rick. His love for his grandchildren was his major priority. He will always be remembered by Monica, Cade, Madi and Ella. He will be missed by his sisters in Hungary, Teresa Redl (the late Jeno) and Irene Vas (Aladdar) and his family and friends in Australia. Steve worked at Massey Ferguson for many years and then he spent 10 years at Brant Park where he enjoyed working with a great crew of young adults. Volunteering at the Hungarian Petofi Club was one of his favourite pass times. We would like to thank the paramedics and the staff of the ER and CCU. They were professional, supportive and caring. A special thank you to our friends and neighbours. Friends and family will be received at the “THORPE BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL”, 96 West St., on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, 9 Waverly St., on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 11am. Private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the MS Society or the Brantford Community Healthcare System would be appreciated.
