Obituary of Simonne Tardif
Simonne Tardif (née Boudreau May 6, 1932)
Died peacefully at home at age 86 on January 17, 2019.
Predeceased by her parents Omer Boudreau, Marie-Rose (née Cloutier). She leaves her loving husband Lionel of 64 years, her seven children: Denis (Lyne), Diane Robert (Denis), Lucille, Gérald, Louise, Pauline, Jean (Deborah Barnes), her grand-children: Daniele Lafrance (Marcel), Alain, Martine, Isabelle, Cassandra, Gabriel and Christine, her great‑grandchild: Olivier.
Sister of Thérèse Rivière (Gustave) from Maria QC, Roger Boudreau (Solange), Clément Boudreau (late Diane), Carmen Kingsley (late Claude), all from Hanmer, Lise Barriault from Sudbury, and Denise Roy (Gilles) from Orléans. Predeceased by her brothers and sister Henri‑Paul (Jeannette), Jean‑Charles Boudreau (Jeannine), Gaston Boudreau, Justine Proulx (late Bertrand), Normand Boudreau, and Léo Boudreau (Karen).
She also leaves in mourning many sisters-in-law, brothers-in law, nieces, nephews and friends.
Simonne’s family was the centre of her world. Her definition of family went beyond borders of immediate family, extending her selfless heart to all.
Her husband fondly remembers special moments shared at the cottage, beach, travelling, and as snowbirds in Florida.
Simonne was always a welcoming gracious hostess, a caring community member, dedicating her time volunteering and fundraising for various charities et membre de la FFCF.
Family and friends will cherish their memories of Simonne’s caring approach, cooking, baking, laughter, and welcoming nature.
The family will receive condolences Friday, January 25th, 2-4 pm & 7‑9 pm at Héritage Funeral Complex, 1250 Trim Rd, Orléans. A mass will be on Saturday, January 26th at 11 am, Paroisse St-Joseph d’Orléans, 2757 St-Joseph Boul., Orléans followed by a light lunch.
In lieu of flowers, in memoriam donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada (alzheimer.ca/en/Home) will be graciously welcomed. Memories or condolences may be shared at www.heritagefh.ca
