Shirley Lois Stewart
1939-2019
Shirley Lois Stewart – age 80, of Wolfville, formerly of
Lower Blomidon, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. Born in
Hortonville, she was a daughter of the late Freeman and Eva (Rushton)
Beatty. Shirley and her husband, David, had owned and operated
Scottie’s Enterprise in Wolfville. Following their
retirement, they enjoyed travelling. She was passionate about knitting
and often showcased her work at local craft shows. She is survived by
her husband, David; daughter, Wendy Ryan, Canaan; sister, Judi (Gary)
Marshall, Danvers; two brothers, Bob (Donna) Beatty, Weymouth; Mike
(Marilyn), Port Williams and several nieces and nephews. She was
predeceased by a son, John Ryan; sister, Sheila Forsythe and a
brother, Terry Beatty. Cremation has taken place. There will
be no visitation or funeral service, by request. Donations in memory
may be made to the Alzheimer Society. Funeral arrangements have been
entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
