1931-2019
Robert Moore Coffill – 87, of Grand View Manor,
Berwick, formerly of Blomidon and Canning, passed away Friday, January
18, 2019 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in
Canning, he was a son of the late Robert and Myrtle (Rogers) Coffill.
He had been employed with the Department of Fisheries where he taught
net and gear courses from Yarmouth to Cape Breton. He was a member of
the Pereau Baptist Church and enjoyed playing darts, cribbage,
45’s and doing jigsaw puzzles. He is survived by children,
Linda (Barry) Gaynor, White Rock, BC; Roland “Leslie”
Coffill (Angie Titus), Digby; Stephen Coffill (Joan Zinck), Kentville;
a sister, Dorothy Coffill, Beamsville, ON; seven grandchildren, Dara,
Shaun, Denise, Nathan, Logan, Melissa and Nicole; four great
grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Edith “Joyce”
(Scott) Coffill, a sister, Shirley Scott; infant twin brother, Roland.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A
funeral service will be held at a later date. Burial will take place
in the Houstons Beach Cemetery, Blomidon. Donations in memory may be
made to The Arthritis Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral
Home and Cremation Services, Kentville, Nova
Scotia.
