Patricia Jones
July 3, 1934 – January 27, 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia Ann Jones announces her passing on Sunday, January 27, 2019, in her 85th year. Patricia was predeceased by her Navy veteran husband Malcolm Jones in 2004. She loved and adored all six of her children but was sadly predeceased in 2016 by her eldest daughter Theresa (Stephen). Her other children are Dennis (Sandra), Larry (Lynn), Shawn, Kimberly (Kevin) and Christopher (Louise). She was proud of her 17 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. She also got great pleasure from the dogs/pets visiting the home.
When Patricia’s health required more assistance, she was a little reluctant about moving into St. Pat’s Home, the same location where she had practiced nursing until the end of her career. It turned into the best decision as she was surrounded by loving and caring friends and staff. She was even able to utilize some of her care giving skills among other residents in the home.
While at St. Pat’s, Patricia served as a proud member of the Resident’s Council, Choir and was an Ambassador for the St. Patrick’s Foundation. Her role as an Ambassador made her feel like a celebrity.
The family would like to extend our gratitude to the staff for their kindness, compassion and caring they gave her during her stay at St. Pat’s.
A service for Patricia is to be held at St Patrick’s Home, located at 2865 Riverside Drive in Ottawa on Saturday February 2, at 10:30 am. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Patricia to St Patrick’s Home of Ottawa Foundation would be appreciated.
