OBITUARY
Nancy (nee Annie Clarice Woolrich) Conlon
February 27, 1920 – January 16, 2019
It is with great sadness that her family announces the passing of Nancy Conlon. Nancy was born in Stoke-on-Trent, England on Feb. 27, 1920 and died at her home in Baie d’Urfe, Quebec on Jan 16, 2019. Known for her wonderful sense of humour, Nancy had worked in publishing and loved travel (especially to the United Kingdom and Florida). She was a friend to many, the world’s biggest ‘Murdoch Mysteries’ fan, a gardener, and the maker of the best chocolate chip cookies anywhere. As a war bride, she had married her beloved Doug in England on June 6, 1945 and they came to Canada soon after. Doug and Nancy lived happily ever after until his passing on January 4, 2011. Nancy will be dearly missed by her beloved children Peter (Guelph) and Michael (Diane; Barnsley, England), and by her grandchildren Andrew (Guelph) and Olivia (Edmonton), to whom she was an extraordinarily proud and loving Grandma.
We sincerely thank the many people who cared for Nancy over the past several years while she lived at the Maxwell Residence in Baie d’Urfe. A Visitation (11:30 a.m.) and Service (12:30 p.m.) for Nancy will be held at the Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 222 Autoroute 20, Pointe Claire, Quebec, H9S 3X6 on Saturday, February 9, 2019, followed by a family service of interment at the Field of Honour, Pointe Claire, and then, at 2:00 p.m., a reception for all who knew her at the Maxwell Residence, 678 Surrey Drive, Baie d’Urfe, Quebec, H9X 3S1.
