McKinnon, Ronald ‘Ron’ Thomas

Peacefully with family by his side, on Friday, January 25th, 2019, in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Mary Elizabeth ‘Betty’ McKinnon (1981). Loving father of Jonathan McKinnon and his wife, Suzanne; Robert, and his wife, the late Jean; Roderick ‘Rocky’, and his wife, Leslie; Christena McDonald, and her husband, Eugene; Ainslie, and his wife, Karen; and Ian and his wife, Bianca. Survived by his grandchildren: Jacqueline, Alex, Stephen, Patrick, Claire, Grace, Joseph, Jude, James, Matthew, Nicholas and Liam; his two sisters and one brother; and by three great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his daughter, Anne (1983); his grandchildren, Jonathan and Joshua; and by nine brothers and sisters. Ron was a long-time, dedicated Kellogg’s employee and a devoted harness horseman. Visitation will be held on Monday, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. MICHAEL’S PARISH, 511 Cheapside Street, London, on Tuesday, January 30th, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Private family interment at Mount Carmel Cemetery at a later date.
