Obituary of Martin Willans
WILLANS, Dr. Martin has passed away in Kitchener on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the age of 81 years. A native of Edmonton, Alberta, Martin attended the University of Alberta, interning at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver before returning to Edmonton for his medical residency. Upon completing his specialization in Rheumatology in London, England, Martin and his family moved to Sarnia, Ontario in 1967 where he practiced medicine for more than 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (daughters Nancy and Joyce), son Kevin, daughters Dalene, Barbara and Peggy (Brian), grandchildren Jared, Holly and Anna and brothers Dave and Gordon (Judy). Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 11-11:50 a.m. The funeral service will be held immediately following in the McKenzie & Blundy Chapel at 12 noon officiated by Fr. Stephen Savel. As an expression of sympathy, friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Arthritis Society, 400 York St, London, ON N6B 3N2.
