OBITUARY
Mark Ivezich
Passed away on January 8, 2019
“My Heart Has No Regrets”
Mark Ivezich, the foundation, the strength, and the heart of our family, died peacefully on January 8, 2019. Loving husband of sixty-six years to Maxine; father to Ann Marie (John), Stanley, Nancy (Jerry), Robert (Kim), proud grandfather to Lisa, Mike, Kayla, Megan, Lauren, Renae, and Kolton; great grand-father to Ben, Jasper, Sophie, Sara, and Scarlett Mae. A devoted family man, his happiest moments were those surrounded by his family at the dinner table. As the family grew, so did his joy.
He loved Port Alberni and the people in it, working to make it a better place, leading by the example of a thoughtful, dedicated work ethic. He served on Port Alberni’s City Council for three terms during the Amalgamation years and was a faithful, involved member of the Alberni Valley Cur ling Club for forty years. His final career as Manager/Icemaker of the club was the culmination of his many talents.
Always a teacher at heart, he coached hockey, baseball, and curling. As well, he is known to many as a gifted welding teacher. Master of too many trades to list, his generous heart and hands were offered to help family and friends in any need.
We offer gratitude to Dr. Sander and the staff at Echo Village for the care and support they provided this past year.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Stories and condolences for the family may be offered at www.chapelofememories.ca
