Peacefully passed away surrounded by his family at Pioneer Manor on Monday, January 28, 2019 at the age of 81 years. Son of the late Jean Baptiste and the late Dolores (née Martel) Fex. Loving father of Marielle Richer (late Gérard), Ginette Trottier (late Yvon) both of Hanmer and Carole MacDougall (Kyle) of Orleans. Dear brother of Germain Fex (Simone) and Maurice Fex (Gabrielle). Predeceased by his siblings Rose Poitras, Marie Anne Steinour, Ernestine Thibault, Annette Côté, Lucienne Labre, Lucille Décosse, Florestine Larivière, Joseph Fex, Thérèse Fex and Albertine Fex. Cherished grandfather of Renée Dawley (Warren), Sylvain (Danielle), Justin, Crystale, Mélodie, Sandrine, Alexie and great-grandfather of six. Sadly missed by the mother of his children Yvette Fex (née Beaulieu), many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Pioneer Manor for the care and compassion towards our father. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4570 St-Joseph St., Hanmer, Friday, February 15th, 2019 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 16th, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St-Jacques Church, Hanmer.
