  1. To Georgi and family I wish to pass along sympathy and condolences on the passing of Tasso.
We moved to St.George Street in 1960, and Tasso became our barber, I remember him so fondly from the age of 6 visiting his shop on Saint Jean Baptiste. Both my brother an myself were regulars until long hair became fashionable! Whenever I would visit our family home, I would usually encounter him sometimes walking, or I would see him in the yard, a great smile, warm hug or hand shake, an little conversation and we would say bye. After my father passed away in 1982, my mother would sometimes mention that he stopped by the house during his constitutional walk around the block, just to say hi-have common conversation, a few laughs and on his way once again. As young kids we were enveloped in sports and the parkette across from your house would be a place of soccer ball handling after school – on occasion Tasso would cross the street and join us for a little while, tapping the ball around between us. My mother passed away in 2015, he and I talked during that time and as we organized the sale of our family home at 143 St.George our last conversation was on the porch of his house with Georgi. I had brought a few beers, and topics varied from the neighbourhood, soccer, work and at that time the difficulties the Greece politics was suffering from. It was the last visit – he was still Tasso, dapper, polite, gracious and kind. He will be sorely missed.
Again from our family to yours, our deepest sympathies.
