MURRAY, JOHN – At Bluewater Health on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. John (JD) David Murray, age 71 of Sarnia peacefully passed away after a short illness. JD was the dear brother of Ann Ino and her husband Alan of California and loving uncle of Chris Hartford, Melissa Hartford and Robert Ino. Many cousins also survive. He was predeceased by his parents John “Bunt” and Frances “Gee” (Doherty) Murray. John was employed as a custodian for the St. Clair Catholic School Board and retired after many years of service. JD volunteered with the SMAA and always enjoyed attending the Northern Football, Sarnia Legionnaires games and most other sports played at Norman Perry Park. In later life he enjoyed attending the rock concerts held at the Imperial Theatre. John was deeply spiritual. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of JD’s life will be held at the D. J. Robb Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 102 N. Victoria St., Sarnia, N7T 5W9 on Sunday, February 3rd, 2019 at 11:00 am. Interment of ashes will be held later at Lakeview Cemetery. Memorial donations made to the Sarnia Humane Society would be appreciated by the family. Memories, messages of condolence or photographs may be shared through www.djrobb.on.ca
