George Alfred Craig
1925-2019
George Alfred Craig of Rockland passed away on Saturday, January 5,
2019 at the Carleton Manor in Woodstock. He was born December 12, 1925
at Rebecca Farms, and was the son of the late Washington and Myrtle
Craig. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Woodford
(Maude) Craig; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Kenneth)
Schriver, Gordon Fowler, Ross Hansen, Dale King, Glenna (Roy) Murphy,
Alta-Jean Robinson.
George is survived by his wife of 72 years, Eloise Craig of Rockland;
sons, Eugene (Heather) Craig of Woodstock, Duane (Marilyn) Craig of
Fredericton; grandchildren, Julie Craig, Amanda Craig, Laura (Keith)
Scott, Emily (René) Petre, great grandchildren, Victoria Scott,
Jordan Scott, Jonathan Craig, Breanna Gallant, Ryan Petre; great great
grandson, Chase Craig; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Avis
(Donald) Bruce, Barbara Fowler, Velda (Gerald) McSheffrey, Judy (Fred)
Nixon, Diane Hansen, Cheryl King, Arnold (Margaret Ann) Robinson,
Terry (Rosalind) Robinson; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street,
Hartland on Tuesday, January 8th from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral
service will be on Wednesday, January 9th at 2:00 p.m. from the
Hartland Baptist Church with Pastor Dan Jamer and Pastor Dan Austin
officiating. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at a later
date. If so desired, donations can be made to the Women’s
Institute Home in Woodstock or the Hartland Baptist Church.
