OBITUARY
Evert GULIKER
March 16, 1935 – January 8, 2019
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing away of our dearly beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Evert (Ed) Guliker on January 8, 2019 at Royal Columbian Hospital, at the age of 83 years.
Dad was born on March 16, 1935 in Leiden, The Netherlands. He immigrated with his family to Canada in 1951, first to Alberta and later settling in Chilliwack. He was a delivery/salesman for Coca Cola Ltd., and later became a dairy/poultry farmer before his retirement.
Dad will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 60 years Wilhelmina (Willy), children Robert (Elizabeth) Guliker, Elsie (John) Klop, Joanne (Ken) Denbok, Irene (John) Maljaars, Fran Guliker, Ken (Tammy) Guliker, Dan (Harriet) Guliker, 41 grandchildren, and 58 great grandchildren. Sisters Necia Guliker, Joanne Grisnich, and Mary (Jack) Vandenberg. Brothers Casey (Elberta) Guliker and Harry (Juliana) Guliker, sister in law Corrie Boesterd and numerous extended family.
He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, one grandchild, 3 nieces, 1 nephew and several brothers and sisters in law.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 1 pm, at the Reformed Congregation of North America, with Rev. A. Geuze officiating. Internment followed at Chilliwack Cemeteries.
