Obituary of Clifford Marriott
Marriott, Clifford A.: 96, Halifax, formerly of Sambro, NS. It is with great sorrow that we announce Clifford’s passing on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Melville Lodge. Born September 23, 1922 in West Pennant, he was a son of the late Edward and Ella (Findley) Marryatt. For 40 years, Clifford had worked at the Halifax Shipyard. He loved fishing, going to dances with his wife and family, and cooking Sunday meals for his family. His life was devoted to his wife of 74 years, Eileen, 14 children, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was loved dearly by his daughters-in-law. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Eileen (Nightengale), his children, Tim (Fronie), Kenny (Eleanor), Linda, Evelyn (John), Leo (Bonnie), Tommy, Kevin (Jessie), Billy (Leah), Ruby (Colin), Donnie (Susan), Crystal (Marcel), Michael (Denise), Tony (Deborah), and Jerry (Kathy); brother, Harold, sister, Kathleen, a sister-in-law, Gladys Marryatt, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by grandson, Willy Marriott, granddaughter, Chelsie Probert, great-granddaughter, Cassandra Marriott, and 13 siblings.
Cremation has taken place. A service in memory of Clifford will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 11 AM from St. James’ United Church, Sambro, NS. Burial will take place at a later date. Family flowers only, in lieu, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Society.
I can no longer see you with my eyes, touch you with my hands, but I will feel you in my heart forever.
