Obituary of Carol Hillyer
Suddenly but peacefully at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Thursday afternoon, January 24th, 2019. Carol Elizabeth Hillyer (nee Millier) of Owen Sound, at the age of 77 years. Dearly loved wife and best friend of Ken Hillyer for 58 years. Loving mother of David Hillyer (Heather), Sherri Grandine (Craig) and Bradley Hillyer, all of Owen Sound. Proud grandmother of Quentin (Shelby), Rebecca (Johann), Elizabeth (Willy), Andrew, Charles, Chelsea and great-grandmother of Myles, Maelyn and Eden. Dear sister of Sharon Karn, of Sarnia. Predeceased by her parents, Albert and Gertrude Millier; her siblings, Helen Parkes, Marion Shrigley, Ruthanne Legault and Robert Millier.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Carol Hillyer will be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 554 – 15th Street East, Owen Sound on Monday, January 28th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society as an expression of sympathy and may be made through the BRIAN E.
