1943-2019
It is with deep sadness we announce the
peaceful passing of Bruce Utley Hollis,
age 75, of Sackville, NB. Bruce passed away peacefully in
the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Sunday, January 27,
2019.
Born in Amherst, NS, he was a son of the
late Ernest and Louise (Black) Hollis.
Bruce loved life, and loved to play
jokes on his family and friends. He was a quiet man that
loved time with his family, clamming, spending time by the stream
fishing, and tinkering with motors.
He will dearly missed by his wife, the
former Leona Brine of Sackville; children Bonnie Hollis, Amherst, NS,
Susan Hollis, Moncton, NB, Donna (Timothy) Wells, Frosty Hollow, NB,
Gail Fillmore, Surrey, BC, Carmella Hollis (Donald Patterson),
Middleton, NB; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren;
brothers Wendell (Joyce), and Vincent, both of Amherst,
NS.
Predeceased by brother
Jackie.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge
Street, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300), where visiting hours will take
place on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 1 pm until 2 pm, followed
immediately by the funeral service at 2 pm, Scott Balser, Life
Celebrant, officiating. Burial will take place in the Holy
Rosary Cemetery in the spring.
Donations in memory of Bruce may be made
to the Alzheimer’s Society, or the charity of your
choice.
