Obituary for Arthur Russell Earl
EARL Arthur Russell – age 89 formerly of Yarmouth passed away peacefully at Evergreen Home for Special Care in Kentville, N.S. on January 2, 2019. Born in Pleasant Lake, Yarmouth Co., on October 13,1929 he was a son to the late Lyman and Minnie (Spates) Earl. Arthur was a retired school bus garage Foreman where he worked for Halifax Co., and Bedford school board for 20+ years. He also worked for Acadian Lines and Nova Scotia Power. He is survived by his daughters, Linda (Don) Rideout; Donna McCrae, Sharon (Tom) Bellefontaine; son, Lyndon (Marilyn); brother, Clyde and sister, Jennie Webster; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Besides his parents Arthur was predeceased by his first wife, Marjorie Marie Amirault; second wife, Sheila Louise Romans; brothers, Ralph, Lyman and Everett; sister, Gertrude and his special Aunt Elva and son-in-law Gary. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth where cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery in Lower Sackville in the spring.
