Obituary of Allen Rose
Rose, Allen Simpson
A resident of London, formerly of Chatham, Allen Rose passed away at the London Health Sciences Centre – University Hospital on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 in his 90th year.
Allen was the son of the late Claude & Marie (nee Simpson) Rose.
Beloved husband of Dr. Anne Kerr-Foster & the late Jeanne (nee Tuck, 1994).
Loving father of Brian Rose, and his wife Tracey, of Guelph and the late Stephen Rose (1988).
Grandfather of Hallie Rose, Emillie Rose, Peter Rose, and his wife Angela and the late Sarah Rose (1980).
Great-grandfather of Pearson Rose.
Brother of the late Donna Campbell and brother-in-law of Jack Kerr, and his wife Colleen, Betty, and her late husband Tom Kerr and brother-in-law of Barb Tuck.
Missed by many nieces & nephews.
Allen retired from Union Gas as a Regional Sales Manager after many years. Growing up on Rose Beach Line near Rondeau, he spent many years with Union Gas in Chatham, retiring in the Hamilton Region. After retirement, he moved to London and spent many summers back in Rondeau at his cottage. He enjoyed fishing, curling, golfing, and wood carving. As well as travel.
Family to receive friends at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St, Chatham on Monday, January 14, 2019 from 11:00 am until the Memorial Service at 12:00 pm. Cremation has taken place with Interment at a later date in Morpeth Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Allen may be made to the Riverside United Church, London or to charity of choice.
