Obituary for
William Archibald
Bill passed away, suddenly at his home, on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. Born on February 24, 1954, to parents Robert and Anna (née Wallace) Archibald, William Arnold Craig Archibald was 64 years old. Fond memories of Bill will remind us of his dry wit, his love of family and his cats Betty Boop and Sylvester, and his total devotion to his spouse, Audrey. His gentle, kind hearted ways were a gift to all who knew him. Bill gave generously of his time by tirelessly volunteering to his community and helping his friends. His love of baseball and rallies were famous.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by his spouse Audrey Vadacchino and his siblings-in- law Marianna Arella, Fiore (Claudia) Vadacchino, and Mackie (Michel Robert de Massy) Vadacchino, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Along with his parents, Bill is predeceased by brother-in-law Aldo Arella.
Visitation will take place at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, (519-527-1390) 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 3-5 p.m. and again on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. when a funeral service to honour Bill’s life will be held. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall of Egmondville United Church, 26 Kippen Road, Egmondville.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Bluewater Area Family Health Team or the charity of ones’ choice would be appreciated by the family. Condolences can be made by visiting Bill’s online memorial at www.mcglynnfamilyfuneralhome.com
