Obituary for Mr. William Waddell Allan
William (Bill) Waddell Allan passed away January 11, 2018 at North York General Hospital, a month shy of his 91st birthday. Bill was born in Collingwood, educated at UCC and in the US. He worked in the aerospace industry for his entire career, primarily with McDonnell Douglas. He was an avid skier. He also loved to play tennis and was a member of the Lawrence Park Tennis Club for many years. Married for over 40 years, Bill was predeceased by his wife, Gavina Allan, nee Brown. He missed her tremendously. The family extends sincere thanks to the staff at North York General where Bill spent his final days and especially to the staff at the Teddington, where Bill lived for the last five years. Bill is survived by nephews Ian Brown, Randy Cousins, niece Anne Goodchild, their families and the late Kevin Brown’s family. A private celebration of Bill’s life is planned for the spring.
