OBITUARY
William Russell Kane
August 13, 1950 – October 14, 2018
Peacefully, after a brief battle with Cancer, on October 14th, 2018 at the Brantford General Hospital in his 69th year. Beloved husband of Donna for 42 years. Loving father of Brianna (Matt Brass) and Jessica. Son of Agnes and the late William Kane. Bill is survived by his brother Steven (Betty Ann), sisters in law Janet (David) Dreher and Carol DiPrimio, many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He will be especially missed by his best friend and granddog Roxy as well as his other granddogs, Kaufman, David and Zeus. Bill had a 46 year career in the carnival industry beginning with Canada Conklin Shows and transitioned to North American Midway Entertainment – Canada Co. Bill was a Grand Knight of St. Basil Knights of Columbus Council #13442 and a member of Be a Man, Brant Carving Club and TSSA. The family will receive friends at the THORPE BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 96 West St., on Sunday, October 21st from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and Monday, October 22nd from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Basil’s Roman Catholic Church, 50 Palace St., on Tuesday, October 23rd at 11am. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Basil’s Knights of Columbus Coats for Kids Project, Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
