Life Story for William Herbert “Herb” Cowan
COWAN, William Herbert “Herb” – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Herb on Monday, February 12, 2018 at the GNGH at the age of 87. Loving husband of Shirley (nee Daigle) for 37 years. Proud father of Rick (Heidi), Bill (Elaine) and David. Step father of Court, Shawne and Tracey. Beloved grandfather of Michelle (Will), Michael, Jeffrey, Amanda (Jon), Logan, Skyelar, C.J. and John, and 6 great grandchildren. Survived by his sister Mae Rusk and his brother Bob (Judith) Coughlin. Predeceased by his first wife Wyn, his sister Gladys McVey and his brother Albert Cowan. He will be fondly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Herb was a real estate agent for over 30 years, and, along with Shirley, the proud owner of Jungle Land Mini Putt for 15 years. He enjoyed puttering about the house, camping and traveling.
Cremation has taken place and an interment of ashes will take place at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at the MORSE & SON EVENT CENTRE, 5929 Main St. on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 5-8 P.M. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
