Obituary for William “Bill” Reek
WILLIAM “BILL” REEK
An hounorable man who put family first.
“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”
~ A.A. Milne
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Bill Reek while surrounded by his family on Thursday, December 27, 2018; at the age of 85. Beloved husband to Marie Reek for 65 years, loving father of Janice Barrie (Wayne) and Peter Reek (Jodi). Cherished grandfather of Jaime, Megan and Jessie, great-grandfather to Jude and dear brother to Dorothy. Bill was a hard working and devoted family man. He enjoyed a brilliant career with Nestle Canada, travelling the world seeking the best prices on coffee, cocoa and sugar. Although he enjoyed a successful career, family was always his top priority. He was the “caretaker” of the family, always ensuring they were provided for. He loved being around people, whether it was clients, friends or his family, his gentle nature and positive personality was infectious. In quieter moments he enjoyed time spent on tending to his garden and pool and he enjoyed the golf course in his earlier days. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. A private family interment has taken place. A Celebration of Life service will be announced shortly.
