William “Bill” Morris Richard Williams
October 26, 1948 – December 25, 2018
WILLIAMS, William Morris Richard “Bill” – of Dartmouth, passed away December 25, 2018 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Carterton, Oxfordshire, England he was the son of William Richard and Marjorie Kathleen Williams. Bill was a voracious reader, loved to cook, bird watching, sports and could fix anything (except cars). He came to Canada in 1976 and worked for many years for Halterm, then at Piercey’s and then Ceres as an operations manager of container traffic until 2010. Bill is survived by his partner, Margot Williams; son, Chris (Chrystal) of Airdie, AB; daughter, Claire (Alain) Daigle of Dieppe, NB; sisters, Elisabeth of North Wales and Myfanwy of Dubai, UAE; grandchildren, Juliana and Simon Daigle; and several nieces and nephews in England and Wales. He was predeceased by brother, Lee. Memorial service will be held at 11 am on January 2, 2019 in A.L. Mattatall’s Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth, and Rev. Jim Anderson officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bide-Awhile Cat Rescue or N.S. Lung Association.
