Best, William – Passed away in the presence of family on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Glenbrook Lodge, at the age of 95 years. He is predeceased by his wife Neta Best (February 2018); parents: Fred & Elvina Best; siblings: Millicent (Robert), Clyde (Lilly), Alex (Ella), Alicia, Neta. Leaving to mourn his daughter Genevieve (Ken Lawrence); granddaughters: Stacey (Steve Chipun), Shelley; step-granddaughters: Tracy (Fergus Murphy), Stephanie, Kerry (Troy Arsenault); great-grandchildren: Nicolas, Julia, Annike, Matthew; brothers: Gladstone (Audrey deceased), Fred (Louise), Albert (Marguerite), Robert (Daphne); sisters: Joyce Best, Major Marcella (Major William Hopkins), Irene (Walter Jacobs); brother-in-law: Baxter Browne; sisters-in-law: Maggie & Alice Hunt. As well as numerous nieces, nephews & friends.
Special thanks to Glenbrook Lodge for their care & compassion to Bill over the last 4 years.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, July 12. 2018 at 2:00pm from the Barrett’s Chapel. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Last Post Fund.
