Wesley Martin July 13 1927 to August 30 2018

Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on August 30, 2018, Wesley Martin, of St. John’s, formerly of Hickman’s Harbour, Random Island, age 91 year. Predeceased by his wife Violet (2016), mother and father Minnie and Willis Martin, and brothers and sisters. Left with cherished memories are his daughter Marguerite Knight (Garry), son Gary (Delores), Marilyn Parrell (Craig), grandchildren Stefanie (Mark), Jason (Robin), Jordan, Mark and Holly, three precious great grandsons Wesley, Preston and Milo, Niece Muriel (Graham) and nephews Randy (Evelyn) and Joshua of New Harbour. Special family friends Margaret Craniford and Pauline Connors as well as many other relative and friends. A Special thank you to Bonnie Hobbs for her care and assistance, to Wade Strickland, and doctors and nurses of 4 South B during Wes’ illness.
Cremation has taken place, resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Sunday, September 2, 2018 from 2 – 9 pm and Monday, September 3, 2018 from 10 am – 12 noon. Funeral service will be held at the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Monday, September 3, 2018 at 2 pm with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Wesley’s memory, may be sent to St. James United Church, 330 Elizabeth Avenue, St. John’s.
