WARKENTIN Monique Helene 1965 — 2018

WARKENTIN, Monique Helene
1965 — 2018
Monique Warkentin passed away June 15, 2018 at the age of 52. Survived by her loving husband Ralph Warkentin; daughters Emily (Owen) and Erika all of Vancouver; sons Colin of Vancouver and Samuel of Kelowna; sisters Michelle Cruickshank of St. Albert and Sheri Grenier of Christina Lake; brothers Darren Ouellette of Saskatoon and Christopher Ouellette of Victoria; parents Jim and Paulette Ouellette; and Ralph’s parents Albert and Helen Warkentin.
Monique’s greatest passion was caring for those around her. Whether it was through her baking, caring for the children in her day care or writing letters of encouragement for her friends and family, she put great thought into every action. She had the wonderful gift of finding joy in life’s smallest moments and considered every day a treasure. She bravely battled breast cancer for nearly 11 years and not once wavered in her desire to spend more time with those nearest her. Her courageous fight and her steady wit throughout, will forever inspire her loved ones. Taken far too early, she leaves many broken hearts in her wake.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Mission Creek Alliance Church, 2091 Springfield Rd, Kelowna, BC, with Rev Keith Whitaker officiating.
