Walter Wally Bennen

Walter Wally Bennen November 23 1940 – September 17 2018

Walter “Wally” Bennen
Wally passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at the age of 77. He was the beloved husband of Heather, cherished Dad of Sandra Bauer and Wendy Braithwaite (Shawn), and doting grandfather to Hailey. He will also be missed by his sister, Joan Abbott, brother-in-law, Bobby Austin (Maggie), sisters-in-law, Judy Smith, Louisa Allaire (Philip), Donna Cooper (John), and many nieces, nephews, and godchildren, each of whom he uniquely named a “favourite”. Though friend to many, his best bud Hoop was his rock, anchor, and lifeline. The family extends sincere and heartfelt appreciation and thanks to Dr. Charlene Johnston, the teams of 7 West and 4 West at Windsor Regional Hospital, Dr. Bergeron and the entire care team and volunteers at The Hospice of Windsor & Es County whose care and support were beyond expectations.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The Hospice of Windsor & Es County, or Transition to Betterness would be appreciated.
