Walter (Bill) Baron
Bill passed away peacefully on May 17, 2018 surrounded by his family at the age of 86. Bill was predeceased by his beloved wife Rose, parents John and Julia, brothers Nick, Andrew and Fred. Bill will be lovingly remembered by daughters Carol “Penny” (Don) MacGregor and Sheri (David) Grist, granddaughters Chloe and Jorja who adored him, long-time companion Doris Mercer, extended family, friends and neighbors. Bill was active in his church, loved curling, camping, watching hockey, fixing anything that was broken, and spending countless hours with his granddaughters and canine companion Mocha. Bill loved to travel, work on his yard and always made time for a cup of coffee with friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 9 am with a funeral service at 10 am at Highlands United Church, 11305 64 St., Edmonton with interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Our family would like to personally thank Bill’s amazing caregivers Dr. R.T. Barton, nurses Karen and Baljinder, helpers Pekins and William and all the staff at Norwood.
