Wallace “Wally” Oates
Wallace “Wally” Oates – Passed peacefully away at Pleasant View Towers on December 29th, 2018. Leaving to mourn his wife of 58 years Daphne (nee Reid), daughter Dee (Geoff Antle); grandchildren: Rob Antle and Stephanie Antle. Also leaving to mourn sister Judy short, brother-in-law Cecil E. Reid (Daphne), step brothers: David (Aleta) Helmholtz and Michael (Diane) Helmholtz; step sister: Dory (George) Watkins and Jane Davis; special cousins Mary and Gerry Horlick and Fr. Michael Horlick. Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 3rd from 2-4pm and 7-9pm and Friday January 4th from 2-4pm from Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue. A celebration of Wally’s life will take place from Barrett’s Chapel on Saturday January 5th at 11am with a reception to follow at Barrett’s Reception Lounge. A private family interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy donations in Wally’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
