Virginia Wiecek 2018

Obituary Overview
OBITUARY
The family of Virginia Margaret Wiecek, nee Wickie (Jan. 6, 1937- Feb. 21, 2018) are profoundly saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, surrounded by her family, after a short illness. She was predeceased by husband Jerzy Wiecek (1986), by companion Ray Marshall (2015) and by brother Joe Wickie (2017). Survived by children Debbie Wiecek, Rick Wiecek, Christie (Jeremy) Dann, Rhonda Rees (Bill Stone), and Anita (Gary) Good, and by sisters Gloria Hilton and Val Naskar. She was an especially proud grandmother of Brandon (Felicia Mann) and Tanner Good.Together Mom and Dad built a very successful business, Wiecek’s Market in St. Croix and upon
retiring, moved to Canoe Lake. After Dad’s passing, Mom moved back to Halifax to be closer to family. Later, Mom found a loving companion in Ray with whom friendship, travelling and we can’t forget all the dancing, will leave us with many fond memories. We will all cherish the family time spent at Rick’s cottage knowing it was Mom’s favourite place. We would like to thank both the VON and Palliative Care Team for the support and compassion shown to our mother during this difficult time. Arrangements are entrusted to Atlantic Funeral Home, Lower Sackville. Cremation has taken place. A private memorial celebration of our mother‘s life will be held this summer at Canoe Lake
