Obituary of Violet Brown
Violet Brown (nee Cochrane)
Vi passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre at the age of 100 surrounded by her family.
Predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Charles Leslie, her parents Ruth and Alfred, and her siblings Ruth and Alfred. Beloved mother of Patricia Poch (John) and son James (Margaret). She will be missed by her loved grandchildren Kimberly Voicey (Doug), Cathy Poch (Eric Roy), Rebecca Conroy (Peter), Karen Brown and Amanda McFarling, and her precious great grandchildren Simon, Savanna, Wyatt, Preston and Nikki. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews and their families.
Special thanks to the staff of PRHC Palliative Care Unit for their wonderful care during her final weeks.
Friends may be received at Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough, on Saturday December 22, 2018. Visitation will take place at 10:00 am, followed by a memorial service officiated by Rev. Beverley Sumbler from Westdale United Church and celebration of life at 11:00 am. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in her honour to a foundation of your choosing.
