Obituary for
Victor Reed
Reed; Victor Brian – Passed away peacefully after a long series of illnesses, with his wife Peg and daughter Vicki by his side, at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre, on Monday, June 25, 2018 at the age of 86. Cherished husband of Margaret “Peg” (nee Normile) and loving father of Vicki Reed of Vancouver. Vic was predeceased by his 3 brothers Ron, Les and Don and is survived by 2 Joan Reeds, his sisters in-law both of Whitby, Ontario, where Vic grew up as the 3rd son of Reginald Reed and Nora (Ford) Reed. Vic arrived in Kingston at the age of 18 and spent his life here. He dedicated himself to Empire Life for 45 yrs, and also served as the President of the Board for Cataraqui Golf and Curling Club, where he and Peg were long-time members. Vic was very active in the leadership of the United Way and volunteered for various boards. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, aquamation has taken place. Private family Interment at Cataraqui Cemetery. We would welcome any memorial donations in Vic’s name to United Way, The Kingston Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
