Victor Lotherington
Victor Thomas Edward Lotherington, 93, of Moncton passed away peacefully December 22, 2018. Victor was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia. He attended Nova Scotia Agricultural College in Truro and then enjoyed a long career as a Superintendent of Canada Agriculture, Poultry and Livestock Division.
Victor married Audrey Murray of Saint John almost 70 years ago. He is survived by his devoted wife, Audrey, daughters Heather (David) and Kim, son Eric (Erin) and granddaughter Maya. Victor is predeceased by brothers William “Bim” and Kenny and sister Miriam.
An avid coin collector and dealer, Victor also enjoyed golf, curling, gardening and horses. In his youth, he was a light weight boxer. He sang enthusiastically in the church choir and barbershop quartets. Victor and Audrey also embraced 23 sun drenched winters in Arizona.
The funeral service is Saturday, December 29th, 2:00 pm at St. George’s Anglican Church, 51 Church Street, Moncton with a reception immediately following. Interment will be spring 2019 at Fernhill Cemetery, Saint John.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. George’s Anglican Church. The family wishes to thank the nursing and support staff at Moncton Hospital, Geriatric Rehabilitation Wing, Dr. Burton and parishioners of St. George’s Church for their support and care of Victor. Special thanks to daughter, Kim Lotherington, who has been Victor and Audrey’s loving and tireless caregiver for four years.
