GRIMES, Valerie Isabelle (nee Murphy)
Peacefully at Queensway Carleton Hospital on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the age of 87. Loving wife of the late Gerald Grimes. Dear mother of Nancy Collins (Jim), Tim (Liz Hartt), Jennifer Luscombe (Rick), Wendy Richards and the late Greg Grimes (Paul Moore). Cherished grandmother of Jess (Graham), Amy (Pete), Ben (Mila), Oliver, Leah, Sean and Hannah and great-grandmother of Declan, Maeve and Lenore. Sister of Jamie Murphy (the late Sybil), Patrick (Cheryl) and the late Judith McKinney (Kevin). The family would like to thank the Queensway Carleton Hospital for their wonderful care. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home and Chapel, 1411 Hunt Club Road, Ottawa on Sunday June 24, 2018 for visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the memorial service to follow in the chapel at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Val to the Queensway Carleton Hospital would be appreciated.
