Obituary of Tom Kimmerly
Kimmerly, Lyle Thomas “Tom” – of Morpeth, formerly of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Hospice, on Friday December 14, 2018, age 75.
Born on February 4, 1943 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan to parents, the late Leonard Neil and Victoria (nee Krupa) Kimmerly.
Tom grew up in Morpeth Ontario and attended Ridgetown High School. He later moved to Niagara Falls where he met his wife Judy (nee Fraser). They were married for 53 years.
He will be missed by his two sons, Christopher and his wife Jacqueline of Stittsville, and Mark and his wife Billey-Jo of Whitby.
Grandfather of Evan Kimmerly and step-grandfather of Evan Martin.
Tom enjoyed being outdoors, he loved camping, boating, fishing and golfing. Upon retirement, Tom and Judy returned to live in Morpeth. He is a lifetime member of Centennial Fish and Game Club – Niagara Falls and an Ordinary Member of the Canadian Legion for 45 years.
Memorial visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St. East. Ridgetown on Monday December 17, 2018 from 3-5pm. Cremation will have taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 243 would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be left at www.mckinlayfuneralhome.com.
