Thomas Rupert Irwin 2018

Obituary Overview
Thomas Rupert Irwin
Irwin, Thomas Rupert, age 66 passed away peacefully on Aug 6, 2018 at the Dartmouth General Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Charlottetown he was a son of the late Dr. J.K.L. and Jane Doris (nee: Bates) Irwin.
Tommy was a respected and loved golf pro for many years across the country. His passion for the game not only included a successful competitive career but a career in teaching golfers of all levels at courses all over the province. When he wasn’t working he loved to spend time with his family and friends, and taking care of his prized possession ( the lawn and garden). Like a true Maritimer Tommy loved nothing more than spending time at the ocean.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Colette, daughter; Jaclyn Irwin, son; David (Emily), sister; Anne Boudreau, brothers; John (Lana), Robert (Johanne), Andrew, grandchildren; Braxton, and Tucker Irwin, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents Thomas is predeceased by his sister Elizabeth.
A Celebration of life will be held at the Port Wallis United Church 263 Waverley Road at 10:00 AM Friday Aug 10, 2018 with Rev Ivan Gregan officiating.
Donations in Thomas’s memory may be made to the Port Wallis United Church
The Family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the Dartmouth General Staff and nurses for their compassionate care.
