On May 21, 2018, Terry Yakimyshyn of Sherwood Park passed away peacefully with his family by his side.
Family meant everything to Terry. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remember by his wife Bernice, his children Vincent, Amanda (Doug) Mark, Andrea (Bob) Haston and Annette (Charles) Haun, and his precious granddaughters Olivia and Samantha Haun. Terry is also survived by his mother Nadia, siblings Henry (Joanne), Bernie (Ellen), John and Pat (Dwayne) Warren as well as his brothers in law and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Terry was predeceased by his father, Nick; brother, Mark and sister, Geraldine.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held Saturday, May 26th at 10:00am at St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church (7007- 109 St., Edmonton) with Fr. Rendy Yackimec presiding. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
Terry’s family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Michael Sawyer and all of the staff at the Cross Cancer Institute, Grey Nuns Hospital-Unit 43, Strathcona County Home Care and Home TPN Program for all of their compassion and care towards Terry and his family.
In remembrance of Terry, donations may be made to St. Sophia’s Ukrainian Catholic Church Building Fund or the Cross Cancer Institute.
