In Memory of Tal
Hicks, Talmage “Tal”, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on July 8, 2018, at the age of 97. Born in Hicksville on September 26, 1920, he was the son of the late Ira and Edith (Frazee) Hicks.
Talmage is remembered by his children; Mavis (Ian Parker) Hicks, Jocelyn (Randy) Tyler, Derek (Ginette) Hicks, grandchildren; Janelle, Laura, Daryl, Stefanie, David and his great-grandchildren; Daniel, Autumn and Jaxon.
He is also remembered by his sister, Leah Fowler and his many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Talmage was predeceased by his wife of 56 years Irma Hicks, grandchild, Otis, brothers; Graydon, Guy, Lorne, Eric and his sisters; Henrietta, Eileen and Iris.
Tal had a passion for fishing, gardening and hunting. He was employed by Canada Post for 34 years until his retirement in 1980. He served in the New Brunswick Rangers as a signalman during the Second World War. He and his wife Irma were both active members of Steeves Memorial United Church where Tal was also an active member of the Scouts Canada Group Committee.

Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday at 2:00pm in the Fair Haven Chapel.
Interment will take place in Fair Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Talmage’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
