On the morning of Sunday, October 28, 2018, Elizabeth Sweetville (aka: Aleyama Kuruvilla – nee: Mathai), passed away into the arms of Jesus Christ. She was the beloved wife of the late Zak Sweetville. Elizabeth came to Canada in the early 1960’s from Ericadu, Puthuppallay, Kerala, India, and worked as a registered nurse in London and Ottawa, ON, later on focusing her time and energy as a mother to her son while living in Brockville, ON. Elizabeth enjoyed building relationships with her church and community and always would offer tea to those who came to her home. She came from the St. Thomas Christian community which is one of the oldest Christian communities in the world. She was a part of St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Brockville, ON and when the family moved to Abbotsford, BC became part of the St. Matthew’s Anglican Church (ANiC). Once Zak passed away, Elizabeth would never forget his caring and loving hand in her life as he was very well missed. Elizabeth’s drive to live life right to the end was noticed by everyone she came into contact with. Her faith was so strong that even while in hospital she would praise Jesus Christ even though her health took a turn. Elizabeth is survived by her son Cyril and daughter in law, Rebecca. We will miss you mom and will see you and dad again in Paradise! Funeral service will be held Friday, November 16 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, 2087 McMillan Road, Abbotsford.
