Steve George Drobot October 31st 2018

Steve Drobot passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, after a lengthy battle with heart disease on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at the age of 71 years. Steve is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his family, wife, Sharlene; children, Terra, Kiley (Cheryl), Shara-Lee (Michael); six grandchildren, Sevyn, Presleigh, Dawson, Braiden, Luke and Charlie; as well as numerous family and friends. Steve was born in Steenen, SK, the youngest of 8 children, and moved to Quesnel, BC when he was 15. He moved to Kamloops in 1968 and spent many years there working in residential construction. In 1980 he moved to Red Deer, AB and began a career in the oil and gas industry, eventually becoming self-employed as a safety consultant travelling to various areas across the Prairies. Steve was a meticulous man with many interests. He was an exceptional carpenter, building a beautiful gazebo that was showcased in their picturesque backyard. He was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed two vacations to see the Blue Jays play in Toronto. Another of Steve’s passions and talents was cooking because he liked to make his own BBQ sauces, spice blends and marinades. He loved to make traditional Ukrainian dishes and enjoyed passing along this knowledge. He loved to entertain and was a gracious host who made sure everyone was looked after, comfortable and had a good time in his home. Steve had a good sense of humor and enjoyed telling jokes to everyone – both young and old. His mannerisms and his goofy, quirky nature will truly be missed.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Steve George Drobot October 31st 2018..
