Stephen John Coffin, of Miramichi, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 63.
Born in Gaspé, Quebec, he was the son of Jessie (Boyd) and the late Leslie Coffin. He worked as a chemical operator before his retirement, a volunteer firefighter, and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No.10.
He will be greatly missed by his fiancé Gertie Hines of Miramichi; two daughters Marion Coffin of Ottawa, ON, and Nancy Coffin of Montréal, QC; three stepdaughters Christy Keating (Jeff), Kelsey Hines, and Sara Gaudard; two sisters Susan Coffin of Montréal, QC, and Mary Oaten (Terry) of Ottawa, ON; brother-in-law Vic Rupsys of Grimsby, ON; and four grandchildren Nicholas Roy, Alex Roy, Kiyah Ewers, and Elsa Keating.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by his sister Phyllis Rupsys.
At Stephen’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
Donations may be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
