1919-2018
Fougere, Stanley Daniel,
age 98, of Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Havre Boucher
passed away on March 30, 2018 at the
Manor.
Born in Frankville, he was a son of the late Daniel and
Charlotte (LeVangie) Fougere.
Stanley worked as a section foreman with Canadian
National Railway for 36 years. He, along with his four brothers,
served overseas in WWII. He was a member of Arras Branch #59 Royal
Canadian Legion, Antigonish.
He is survived by his wife, Stella, Glen Haven Manor;
daughter Doris (Robert) Rehill, Thorburn; grandchildren Brandon (Eli),
Halifax; Amber (Henry), Cole Harbour; Matthew (Kayla), Greenhill;
great grandson, Edison Townsend and sister, Sister Ada Fougere, CSM,
Antigonish.
Predeceased by his grandson, Jeremy; brothers:
Sylvester, Arnold, Norbert, Seward, Ambrose and Gilbert; sisters:
Kathleen, Doris, Rita and Stella.
Visitation will be in St. Paul’s Centre,
Havre Boucher on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will
be held in St. Paul’s Church, Havre Boucher on Tuesday at
11:00 am with Reverend Allan MacPhie presiding. Burial in the parish
cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at Glen Haven
Manor for their loving care and kindness to Stanley and
Stella.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to
the Birthing Unit at IWK Hospital. Funeral under the direction of C.L.
