SINI DROST
Sini Drost, 80, of Stratford and formerly of Staffa passed away suddenly at Spruce Lodge, Stratford on Saturday, June 9, 2018.
Beloved wife of Joost Drost for 56 years. Dear mother of Grant Drost, Michael Drost (Connie) and Renee Rudolph (Ed). Loving grandmother of Dallas and Harley Drost; Ben, Kate and Luke Drost; Jesse (Stephanie), Martina (Nick), Mariah and Shania Rudolph. Dear sister of Willy Drost (John), Henny Schieven (George), Gerrie Ainley and Joan Vander Schaaf. Dear sister-in-law of Rob Drost (Ranata), Harold Drost (Margie) and Rosa De Rover-Drost. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Jan and Grace Smeenk, brothers-in-law Tom Vander Schaaf, Clement Drost and sister-in-law Irene Roos (Jan).
Sini was an organist at many churches over the years including Hibbert United. She actively farmed with her husband Joost at Staffa. Her passions in life included family, gardening, cooking, music and travel.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Avondale United Church, 194 Avondale Ave., Stratford on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Keith Reynolds officiating. Memorial donations to Avondale United Church would be appreciated and may be made at LockhartFuneralHome.com.
